I am very proud of the way my 12 and under
team played this
past Saturday (May 4) winning 34 to 17 at Muni
Gym. You ladies played together as a team the
entire game. Amanda, Devin and Kristina played
excellent help defense on the perimeter, keeping
those 11 - 13 year old boys from getting to the
basket most of the game. The few times they
made it to the basket, they had to face Annie
... I counted four blocked shots by Annie! Ali
and Adelle were the best cheerleaders we've ever
had but were chomping at the bit to join you.
Let's hope their injuries heal quickly.
Teresa, thanks for
playing three different positions for us on the
court. Kristina, isn't it fun to drive
right past defenders with your new and improved
crossover dribble? Denise, the moment that
three-pointer left your hand, I knew it was
good. Thanks again to our backup players, S.
Mouritzen and Jessie.
There is more I
could say but I'll tell you at our next
practice. Our team is getting better and better
each week. See you on Thursday.

Congratulations are due to
Coach Allen's 12u team for
their great performance during their scrimmage game
last Sunday against the Lady Bulls. Their hustle
and aggressive play allowed them to dominate both
ends of the court. Small forward, Amanda Roberts
shot the lights out...keep shooting Amanda! And Ali
Pia was unstoppable in the post grabbing many
offensive and defensive rebounds. The entire team
played with intensity and really stepped it up. Way
to go ladies! |
